Titus jolted as words entered his mind. He looked up from the magical bag to see the imp, heating up the dark in her nightshirt and nothing else. Tempting. Titus shook his invisible head, observable only by the imp. Livia smirked.
Just getting something back I should never have let go of. His eyes didn’t leave the sleeping form of the cleric of Aroden “whats-his-name”. The night was completely silent within range of his spell.
You know why. You want to come with?
Livia nibbled on the tip of her finger as she considers. What fun it would be. I got an idea. Why don’t you come with me? Titus stared as if mesmerized at the swishing tail peeking out from under her thin shirt. Damn.
Why not. I can always come back. Titus dismissed the invisibility and silence spells, then shook Pendrais. “Hey, your watch.” Livia strapped on her studded leather armor as the young cleric rubbed the sleep from his eyes. Titus then joined her as they left camp to find someplace private.
When out of earshot of the camp, Titus broke the silence. “I know what you are getting at.”
“You do realize that it is for the best.” Livia lectured. “Why waste the trip?”
“I thank you for this, but what would you like in return? I’m sure my charming company is insufficient.” Livia puffed her lips in a pout while thinking. “How about I teach you how to slow time for your enemies?”
Livia gleamed. "Let’s begin.
She immediately closed her eyes, which began to glow through her lids. A fiery halo materialized above her brow. “Ask your questions.” Her normally sultry voice was an octave deeper and had a menacing quality.
Pendrais watched as a hunched, sullen Titus slowly walks into camp followed by a concerned looking Livia.
